Two people in who are truly in love have a certain relaxed way around each other, as I saw with Dinah and Louis when I photographed them for their engagement shoot. If these natural images are something to go by, I can't wait to photograph your wedding in the great setting you have chosen.... just watch this space in a couple of weeks time!

What a beautiful Winter's day I said, when I arrived in Cape Town to photograph Keryth & Bryan's Engagement session recently. I think in the mother city they say if you don't like the weather..... wait 5 minutes. But this lovely couple were determined to push through the freezing wind that swept the wet spray over them and my gear, to get some stunning images. I wish I could post all of them, but these will give us an idea of the cool photo's they'll look back on in years to come and say......... that damn Jo, gave us pneumonia, but we have these amazing photo's to show for it..... I'm looking forward to shooting your wedding later this year in a less windy Gauteng!

My first wedding of the new "season" takes place this weekend and I can't wait. I've been shooting quite a few engagements recently in preparation for the weddings that are coming up - and with Dom and Barry's wedding around the corner, we just managed to find a date that suited us for the engagement session. Aimee & Alexi had an official engagement party that they commissioned me to cover, so I suggested we take the opportunity to make the most of the grand occassion and arrange a pre-engagement party photo shoot with just the 2 of them in one of my favourite locations for historic buildings in Joburg.

ONS GAAN TROU - HENDA & JACQUES are going to use some of these images as their "save the date" e-mails and some are going on the table as Table Numbers - I thought that was really different and I'm looking forward to the reactions of their guests when they sit down.

A while back I posted the images of Nicole & Clinton's engagement....... and in most cases, there's a wedding that follows. Here are some selected images from their beautiful wedding where I got to spend the time in the company of their family and friends shooting their happy day. Lisa & David asked if we could go to the park for their pre-wedding engagement shoot. When I met them at their beatiful home in Bryanston I quickly convinced them to do the shoot right there. All I need to produce stunning photos is good light and a little love, and there was a lot of that there that day, especially from their pets, 2 massive Boerboel 'puppies' and their house-masters, 2 friendly cats.

I've known Nicole for some time now and I was delighted when she asked me to photograph her wedding - and even more delighted when I met Clinton, as you can immediately see the love they have for each other.

With the introduction of digital photography and the ability to edit images in computer software, the growing trend is to design books that replace the traditional photo album. I design each wedding album to tell the story of the wedding day as it unfolds, in a glamourous and timeless way.

The cover can be a personalised one like this one here, or high quality black or brown leather.

Here are the lay-outs of a 30 page Coffee Table Book. Each one is a double page that has no centre gutter and opens out absolutely flat. Less expensive books that have a gutter and some of the image is lost in the spine as a result.

Lisa always dreamt of having her wedding up on a cliff above the Eastern Cape retreat of Morgan Bay, and all she waited for was the handsome Mike to sweep her off her feet to complete the vision.

True to form, we had a typical Cape wind that eventually drove us off the clif top down to the beach and on to the reception venue for a roaring party............ there was some epic dancing that went on till the wee hours.

A beautiful wedding with great guests and warm hospitality, thank you for letting me be part of your perfect weekend.
